As a consultant on the portfolio & innovation level team for Meijer’s website, I worked on the Architecture, UX, & UI to design a functional order tracking feature amidst the product shortages and grocery delivery boom during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Iterating on and testing solutions
Taking an iterative approach, the portfolio team designed and tested several different versions of a fulfillment selector that included date, time & location selections. Part of the challenge of this was to reveal availability at the beginning of an order that would take an undetermined amount of time to complete.
Approaching the challenge of multiple user pathways.
From an architecture perspective the team had to consider several different user paths. These included both authenticated & unauthenticated pathways. We also needed to consider how delivery and pickup would function differently within the same ecosystem.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Working with the portfolio team to explore innovative solutions to high level problems
Creating iterative solutions for the feature team to implement
User testing feature iterations for proof of concept
Projects & Features:
Pickup & delivery order tracker
Error reporting & system status exploration for order tracking
Iterating on additional feature functionality.
